WordPress has announced their inaugural conference for WordPress users and developers to be held in San Francisco, August 5th. Currently you can sign up for updates on conference details. The actual venue is still in question but the cost to attend is free. This could be one for the history books so grab some flowers and put them in your hair, we’ll see you in San Francisco.

I just got back from a vacation to my old stomping grounds, Jackson Hole,WY. We spent most of our time climbing & hiking in the Grand Teton grandeur. That place is one word: breathtaking. Anyway, we met a lot of people on our journey and it seems people can’t help themselves but ask, “What do you do?” They mean for a living of course. You can try to give them a smart answer about what kind of hobbies or activities you may be into but they will undoubtedly clarify, “for work.” Why is this such a burning question? In my case, saying I perform SEO work or develop web content usually means a much longer conversation than necessary. My latest response is, “I work with websites.” That seems to satisfy most people. If you’re reading this and you work in the wonderful world of web publishing drop me a comment and tell me what you do for a living, I think I need a better answer.
